Raiding: Elaborate Planning. This talent can see some play in Torghast where you can snapshot a garrote from stealth, which allows you to do crazy amounts of damage, especially if you have Unceasing Chain Link anima powers.
Outside of Torghast, never pick this talent. Master Assassin is our go-to talent for raiding. Always pick this talent when raiding. Raiding: Master Assassin. Vigor is a good passive choice that goes hand in hand with Elaborate Planning. This combination is good for both cleave, AoE, and is good in single target as well. You can easily take Vigor and be good to go for every boss.
There are some better options, however, specifically for venthyr, which is the go-to covenant. Deeper Stratagem is the go-to choice for pure single target damage. You always want to pair this talent up with Blindside. The combination would be the preferred choice for something like Sire Phase 3, but because Sylvanas does not have an execute phase, this talent does not see much play either.
Marked for Death is a good talent whenever we have adds spawning, because you can get resets if the target dies within 1 min. However, it is a little challenging to play with at times, and will require practice. This is a better pairing than Vigor if you are Venthyr, because you can use the Marked for Death combo points during flagellation, providing some higher burst, and more consistent stacks, which is especially important if you play obedience.
